Behind the Welder: The Story Behind Bally Built Boutique

When people sit down in my chair for permanent jewelry, they usually have one question:
“So… how did you get into this?”
The short answer? Completely by accident.
The longer answer? It became one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
Before Bally Built Boutique
I’m Shannon, wife to Josh, mom to four amazing kids, a combat veteran, and someone who has always loved creating things.
I’ve worn a lot of hats throughout my life. I’ve served in the military, worked in law enforcement, raised a family, built businesses, and spent years figuring out what truly lights me up.
One thing has always remained the same: I’ve always loved helping people celebrate meaningful moments.
Whether it’s through conversations, creativity, or community, I’ve always been drawn to the things that bring people together.
I just didn’t know permanent jewelry would become one of those things.
Discovering Permanent Jewelry
Like many people, I first saw permanent jewelry popping up online and at events.
At first, I thought it was a fun trend.
Then I started paying closer attention.
I watched best friends get matching bracelets. Mothers and daughters celebrate milestones together. Brides gather their favorite people before their wedding day. Women commemorate achievements, new beginnings, and even difficult chapters they had overcome.
The jewelry wasn’t the point.
The memories were.
That’s when everything clicked for me.
Why I Fell in Love With It
People often assume permanent jewelry is about fashion.
And yes, it’s beautiful.
But what I love most has nothing to do with the chain itself.
It’s the stories.
I’ve welded bracelets for best friends who have known each other for decades.
I’ve helped mothers and daughters create a lasting reminder of their bond.
I’ve celebrated birthdays, graduations, promotions, engagements, and “just because” moments.
Every person who sits in my chair brings a story with them.
For a few minutes, I get to be part of that story.
That’s something I’ll never take for granted.
Building Bally Built Boutique
When I started Bally Built Boutique, I wanted it to be more than a jewelry business.
I wanted it to be a place where women could celebrate themselves.
A place where memories mattered.
A place where connection mattered.
A place where people could walk away with more than a bracelet.
That’s where our motto came from:
Making Memories Last.
Because that’s really what permanent jewelry is all about.
What Most People Don’t See
People often see the finished bracelet.
They don’t always see the hours spent learning, practicing, attending training, investing in equipment, traveling to industry events, and constantly working to improve my craft.
They don’t see the excitement before every pop-up.
They don’t see me loading equipment into my car, setting up displays, or brainstorming new ways to create better experiences for my customers.
And honestly?
I love every bit of it.
Because every bracelet represents a person who trusted me to be part of a meaningful moment in their life.
More Than Jewelry
Permanent jewelry has given me so much more than a business.
It has introduced me to incredible women.
It has connected me with my community.
It has challenged me to grow as an entrepreneur.
And it has reminded me that some of life’s most meaningful moments are often the simplest ones.
A conversation.
A laugh.
A memory.
A tiny clasp-free bracelet that represents something much bigger.
Thank You for Being Here
Whether you’ve been welded by me, attended one of my pop-ups, booked a private party, or you’re simply learning about Bally Built Boutique for the first time, thank you.
Every bracelet has a story.
Every customer becomes part of mine.
And I can’t wait to see what memories we’ll make next.
